Enrolling Your Student: What You Need to Know

Horizons Savannah is a free, high quality summer enrichment program serving over 300 students in the Savannah area since 2002.
We are very excited to partner for the first time with SCCPSS to open a new site at Haven Elementary for selected Kindergarten and 1st grade students only from the following schools: Haven, Brock, Butler, Hodge and Gadsden.
Students will participate in exciting academic activities in reading, math and science. Horizons students also participate in fun enrichment every day and swim lessons three days per week. All students will participate in swim lessons. SCCPSS will provide bus transportation. Breakfast and lunch is provided. Program hours are 8:15am-3:00pm Monday-Thursday June 1st-June 26th (CLOSED FRIDAYS). Horizons is closed June 19th. The program is free for families.
The applications for new students at this site only grades K and 1st will be open starting April 1st, 2026. In order for your student to be considered for the program please complete:
- The online application: You will complete the initial registration to create an account. You will then receive an email with a link to the application. The email comes from Horizons National- check your spam if you don't see it.
- Upload a completed Physicians Clearance Form signed by your child's doctor.
Completed applications and clearance forms must be submitted by April 17th, 2026. Parents will be notified if your student is accepted via email. Horizons serves students that meet our income eligibility guidelines based on the federal poverty levels and household size- see below for more information.

Eligibility
Horizons students bring a broad range of academic ability and skills to our program. Students must meet the following eligibility requirements to be enrolled in Horizons:
- Selected Kindergartners and 1st graders from the target schools listed above.
- Families will provide the number of persons in the household and annual gross income information in the online application to demonstrate eligibility.
- Our policy requires all students to be age-appropriately immunized
with all the required vaccines BEFORE a student can attend our program. We do not accept religious exemptions.
